Small Business Resources

Starting a small business can be a daunting task, to say the least.
As you move forward with your venture, you find yourself staring into
the vast unknown, wondering how it will all play out and whether your
small business will survive or not.
Where do you go for help? Who will answer
all of your business-related questions? Where can you get what you
need to get started, without breaking the bank? This is, after, a
small business. The last thing you need is to start off with hundreds
of thousands of dollars in debt!
Did you know that every state in the
U.S. has its own small business resource center? Did you know that
they will provide you with answers to your questions and direct you
to many other excellent small business resources? Best of all, most
of this help costs you little or nothing. The state you live in wants
you to succeed. It benefits them by way of the tax dollars you'll
be paying in when you make money in your small business.
Jump on the web and do a search for "Small
Business Help" or "Small Business Resources". Maybe
try adding your state abbreviation to the end of that search, like
"Small Business Resources NC". Obviously, not everyone lives
in North Carolina, so you'll have to change the state abbreviation
to match where you live, but I think you get the point!
If you'd rather not search the web, try
calling the Office of The Secretary of Sate in your capitol city and
talk directly to them. Do yourself a favor, though. Be sure to have
a list of your most important questions written down before you call.
This will help you keep the length of the call to a minimum and will
also make sure you get all of your questions answered.
You might also want to try visiting HelpWithSmallBusiness.Com,
a web site with hundreds of links to other small-business-related
websites and resource centers.
Take your time and do your homework.
It may seem tedious and time-consuming at first, but it will pay off
in the long run by making you more educated and more informed. This
will save you a lot time later on and put more money in your pocket.
And isn't that what it's really all about anyway?
